The Kasbah les Oudaias in Rabat reminds me of beautiful Chefchaouen
Here I am back in Morocco, my fifth visit I believe. Made the scenic drive from Casablanca to Agadir on the southern coast. From Agadir, we visited nearby Taroudant, a mini-Marrakesh, and an oasis.

Entering the souk at Taroudant

Berber-type rugs

Necklaces

Shopping in the souk

Fresh Dates

Nice dress display

Really like the blue one – but would it fit Frances?

Best bakery in town

“Now which spice do I want?”

My old friend Noureddine buying pecans

Museum shop

The souk square

good conversation and tea

The wall around Taroudant

old gate at oasis

funny to see wheat growing in this oasis

more wheat

Notice they tie one front foot to a post, rather than the neck

trail running thru oasis

Date trees

Note baby date cluster

irrigation from mountains in oasis – this is old mill

Beach at low tide, Agadir

Ferris wheel, Agadir

Hotel goodies, Agadir

view from hotel – large letters on hillside say, “God, Country, King”

My friend and our Taroudant guide
We later drove about Morocco taking pictures of the different minarets (several with stork nests on top). I’ll let pictures tell the story:
Finally I spent a couple nights at my friend Noureddine’s house in Casablanca, while visiting nearby places like Rabat.

This scene in Rabat reminded me of wall art in Hawaii of a lone fisherman
